Goals

The general objective of this course is to provide participants with a deep understanding of project -based learning and its classroom application. The specific objectives of the course are:
• Know the foundation and key concepts of project learning: Participants will learn about the theory and fundamental concepts that support project -based learning. This will include an understanding of how this methodology originated, why it is effective and how it differs from other teaching and learning approaches.
• Incorporate a global vision of project -based learning: participants will acquire a global vision of project -based learning. This will allow them to understand how this methodology can be used to promote deeper and more significant learning, and how it can be implemented in different contexts and with different groups of students.
• Analyze different examples of projects in primary and secondary education: participants will have the opportunity to analyze a variety of examples of projects implemented in primary and secondary education levels. This will allow them to see how learning -based learning is applied in practice and will provide ideas and inspiration for their own projects.
• Develop basic or key skills through projects: participants will learn how projects can be designed to develop key skills in students. This will include an understanding of how project -based learning can be used to promote skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and communication.
• Know new evaluation techniques to evaluate projects in a significant way: participants will learn about various evaluation techniques that can be used to evaluate projects in a significant and authentic way. This will include an understanding of how evaluation can be used to support student learning, provide useful feedback and measure the success of a project.
These objectives are designed to provide participants with a solid basis in project -based learning and prepare them to implement it effectively in their own classrooms. Through this course, participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to design and carry out educational projects that involve students, support deep learning and prepare students for the real world.
