The AULA_SMART ® Foundation is a non-profit institution that was established in 2004 on the initiative of the AULA_SMART Group. This group, specialized in the application of technological solutions to training, identified the difficulties faced by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in integrating into the teaching-learning process, mainly due to the lack of financial resources in the educational sector and the poor training of teachers in this area.
To address these challenges, the AULA_SMART Group began to provide training to teachers from various universities and educational centers. In addition, it worked on the process of disseminating ICT through its participation in events in the sector. However, the group quickly realized that the mission transcended the corporate sector and required an institution dedicated entirely to working to achieve the inclusion of ICT in education. Thus, the AULA_SMART ® Foundation was born.
The foundation was created under the motto New_times_methods with the aim of promoting the incorporation of ICTs in the education sector. ICTs can improve the quality of education, facilitating the understanding of complex concepts, promoting interactive learning, allowing the personalization of learning and improving access to information.
The AULA_SMART ® Foundation was registered by Ministerial Order of 13/12/2004 in the Registry of Foundations of the Ministry of Education with the number 782. This registration granted the State recognition of the general interest of its purposes. This recognition reinforces the commitment of the foundation to its mission and vision.
In addition, the AULA_SMART ® Foundation is recognized by the Ministry of Education as a Center for Permanent Teacher Training. This recognition highlights the foundation's commitment to ongoing training and the improvement of education through the integration of ICT.
The AULA_SMART ® Foundation is dedicated to teacher training, the dissemination of ICTs and the promotion of their inclusion in education. Through its work, the foundation seeks to overcome the economic and training barriers that often prevent the effective integration of ICTs in the teaching-learning process.
